This is “Allegro” by Canzel. Probably the best song on the album.

This is Canzel.

This is Canzel.

Canzel

So Canzel is a Japanese band that formed in 2007, and separated in 2010. They made fairly decent music, and it’s sad to see the majority of great visual kei bands split up. This is going to be a review of their 2008 album, Neo Presence E.P.S.

Track 1- “Futures Word”
This is an instrumental song composed of electric guitars and electronic sounds. It is heavily inspired by video game music. And it’s really good (:

Track 2- “Allegro”
The lead singer’s vocals are so powerful in this song, and he really shows off his talent. This is probably my favorite song on the album, and the chorus gets stuck in your head all day. :)

Track 3- “Misogi”
Ahh. The vocals. The guitars. This song has a certain feel of haunting metal, if that makes sense. Like the song “Haunted” by Evanescence.

Track 4- “Aibiki”
I don’t really like this song, but the guitar parts are beyond catchy.

Track 5- “Tsuki Sasu Hikari”
I don’t know what it is about this song, but it’s really catchy. The melody is good and it’s probably my 2nd favorite song from the album.

Track 6- “Sore Wa Kareha Ga Maichiru Goro Ni…”
He tries to scream in this song and sound raspy, so it doesn’t sound very good. And alot of voice effects are used in this song. So its probably my least favorite song from this album.

Track 7- “Yume Kui Bare We”
Very very catchy song. The vocals barely sound like the vocalist’s though. Or is it just me. It’s a great song though. (:

Track 8- “Kaze Odoru, Sakura Mau”
It’s an interesting song. A bit of high vocals.

Overall, this album is amazing, so you guys need to check it out. (:

Rock Of Ages

So, this isn’t going to be a music review. This is going to be more of a promotion. On June 15th, there will be a new movie coming out in theaters. And that is “Rock Of Ages”. Now personally, I don’t know much about any of the actors and their talent, but the movie itself looks pretty good. I can’t really tell you what the movie is about, given that only the trailer has been released. It features songs by Deff Leppard, Foreigner, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Journey, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benetar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and other groups.
The cast consists of Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mary J. Blige, and Alec Baldwin.
Oh. And frigging RUSSELL BRAND.
If the movie has Russell Brand in it, it’s bound to be a good movie. And this one is set in Hollywood in 1987. And it’s by the makers of Hairspray. So yeah. It’s going to be awesome. So all you music lovers out there, go and see this movie. Cuz SOMEONE has to know the songs when the cast starts singing them. We don’t want a bunch of old people singing along to the song.

Summer Concerts and Tours ;D

So it’s almost the summer. And that’s when all the bands start touring. So I’m gonna give you a few suggestions on some awesome shows to hit when school lets out.

1. Vans Warped Tour.
Everyone knows about this tour. So I don’t need to say that much. The lineup is pretty sweet this year (even though 2010 kicked serious ass and no lineup will ever equal it.), so find your concert venue and see who’s playing. Bands like After The Burial, All Time Low, Amyst, blessthefall, Born Of Osiris, Breathe Carolina, Chelsea Grin, Falling In Reverse, I Fight Dragons, Lostprophets, Miss May I, Motionless In White, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, and Vampires Everywhere! will be playing. Of course, bands are still being added every Wednesday, so keep checking for more bands.

2. Mayhem Fest.
God yes. So this is for you guys that like the more heavy stuff, not the pop stuff that Warped brings to the states. For all you fans of metal, this is the tour for you. The lineup is amazing this year, with Slipknot, Motörhead, Slayer, Anthrax, The Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying, Asking Alexandria, Whitechapel, and High On Fire all playing. So check the website for tour dates and venues.

3. The All Stars Tour.
This tour is going to be hosting quite a few bands as well. Suicide Silence, Unearth, Dance Gavin Dance, I See Stars, The Word Alive, A Skylit Drive, Winds Of Plague, Stick To Your Guns, Attila, For The Fallen Dreams, Stray From The Path, Make Me Famous, Betraying The Martyrs, and Obey The Brave. And there are STILL more to be announced. So I’m pretty psyched about this one. The website hasn’t been updated from last year yet, though.

4. The Summer Slaughter Tour.
Ohmygod. Another great metal tour. This is more for people that mosh for a living. The lineup is: Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, Job For A Cowboy, Periphery, The Faceless, Veil Of Maya, Goatwhore, Exhumed, And Cerebral Bore. I believe there is another band to be announced, as well. So check in soon with them to see who it will be.

5. Scream It Like You Mean It Tour.
The bands won’t be announced until April, but the rumored bands include We Came As Romans, Attack Attack!, The Acacia Strain, Woe, Is Me, Like Moths To Flames, Abandon All Ships, The Color Morale, and For All I Am. I’ll post an update when the bands are released.

6. Zumiez Coach Tour.
So the bands for this tour have not been released, but I’m sure they will be soon. I will post an update on this tour as well.

So there you have it. Seven tours you can hit this summer. And these are just a few of them. SO MANY bands and artists are touring this summer; it’s gonna be crazy. So start planning this summer with how many of these tours you’re gonna get to. Because they’re all awesome. ;D

This is Bad City. (:

This is Bad City. (:

This is “Take Me For A Ride” by Bad City. Great song.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

This is “Wildlife” by Bad City. (:

Be sure to check out the music video for this song too.

Sorry it took so long to finish the rest of the Bad City review, it took a while to fix some problems with my account on here.

Bad City

Bad City is a band from Chicago that was formed in 2010. They sound so much like classic rock bands from the 70’s/80’s that it’s not even funny. And they fucking tear it up, too. Unfortunately, their lead singer, Josh Caddy, is no longer a part of the band. But the new singer is the ex-vocalist of Powerspace, Alex Cyganowski. So I’ll be reviewing their debut album (The one that Josh did sing for), Welcome To The Wasteland.

Track 1- “Showdown In Central Park” A fantastic classic rock anthem. The vocals are just amazing.

Track 2- “Take Me For A Ride” God. Oh god. This song. <3  This is THE perfect song for getting in the car on a summer day with all your friends, put down the top, and drive, singing to this song as loud as you can. Gahhh <3

Track 3- “Do You Believe In Rock N Roll” Ehhh. This is an okay song. But if you do only buy one song from this band, don’t make it this one.

Track 4- “Wildlife” This is also a GREAT classic rock anthem. This song kinda reminds me of KISS a little bit. xD

Track 5- “Fire In The Pouring Rain” One of the more meaningful songs that they’ve done. A slower song, with more passion.

Track 6- “Call Paul Stanley” Sounds like a song all of the rock bands from the 70’s and 80’s would sing. (:

Track 7- “Heatwave” Sounds like a more modern rock song. It’s a decent song though. ^_^

Track 8- “Look Out!” Sounds like a fighting anthem. I don’t really like this song too much, however.

Track 9- “Touch” This song is kind of like a rock song mixed with a little twist of country. It’s kind of awkward sounding. xD

Track 10- “Straight To The Grave” This song is a pretty good song. (:

Track 11- “Don’t Stop” Another perfect classic rock anthem. And the vocals <3. Ohhhhhh, the vocals <3.

Track 12- “War On Love” A perfect closer to the album. God. <3 Hopefully this band will release new music soon. They deserve to be better known; they’re bringing classic rock back. <3

This is Get Scared’s new single, “Cynical Skin” with their new lead singer, Joel Faviere. (:
